Fidalgo Drive-In Cheeseburger Summer Review

It is the middle of winter, currently.

Even though it is the middle of winter I thought a Summer Cheeseburger Review might come in handy if you are traveling to Anacortes, Washington, possibly on the way to get on a ferry to the San Juan Islands.

This Cheeseburger Review is brought to you via YouTube by the food critic you see here, taking a big bite of a Fidalgo Drive-In Cheeseburger, with some  reviewing help from her dad and grandma.

One bite sends the Cheeseburger Reviewer into Cheeseburger ecstasy.

That item you see with two straws sticking out of it is a Root Beer Float.

The Cheeseburger Reviewer was equally pleased with the Root Beer Float, even after it gave her a brain freeze moment.

The Fidalgo Drive-In is easy to find. It is located at 2908 Commercial Avenue, which is the main drag through Anacortes, which most people drive on their way to the ferry dock, or Washington Park

You can get more info about the Fidalgo Drive-In, and check what else is on the menu besides Cheeseburgers and Root Beer Floats, by visiting the Fidalgo Drive-In website.

seems to me as though a comprehensive cheeseburgeer review should include the drive-in that was about a block from grandma's place on grover street (perhaps the greatest fries in the history of the world, and judy, the daughter of the owner, was pretty nice). then there was the drive-in at the south end of birth bay (perhaps the greatest crabburgers in the history of the world, and myrna and jill and sue and so many of the girls/women at the bay were pretty nice). oh, and burgermaster, which still has a few drive-ins in the seattle area, and herfy's. must be others i can't think of right now...

I don't remember any of the Birch Bay burger joints, and the only Lynden one I remember was the one of the Guide heading out of town. But Herfy's? That one I remember. Does Herfy's still exist. The Herfy Hefty Burger was so good. And the Herfy's Fishburger I remember as the best ever.

and there was a place in bellingham, near the high school. bunks? where you drove in and they came out and took your order. i think a few herfy's still exist. re lynden, i think the one on the guide, if we're thinking of the same one at the guide's intersection with the birch bay-lynden road, was owned by the same folks who had the one near grandma's. i remember judy worked at times at both. she had a nice smile...
